Project Description:
The building is a single storey wood frame structure with a centralized administration and social gathering area surrounded by resident wings. This was an upgrade of an existing lodge style care wing. The original wing was a traditional institutional hospital style ‘nurses’ station’ layout. The nurse’s station was removed and centralized to provide a more ‘friendly’ caregiver-resident relationship. The addition extended the capacity for this wing by 6 suites.
